People. Facts. Accountability.
At JAW GA News, we believe the public deserves to know what’s happening in their communities. We believe in asking questions, looking for answers, examining public records, and holding those in positions of power accountable for their actions.
But here’s the reality. Independent journalism isn’t free to operate, and keeping our website online comes with expenses.
That’s why we’re reaching out to our readers, followers, and supporters to ask for your help.
JAW GA News was built on a simple mission: People. Facts. Accountability.
We’re not here to win popularity contests. We’re not here to protect political interests, cover for wrongdoing, or tell people what they want to hear. We’re here to follow the facts, ask the difficult questions, and bring important information to the public.
And sometimes, those questions make people uncomfortable.
That’s the point of accountability.
Why Your Support Matters
Every investigation takes time. Every public record we examine, every press inquiry we send, and every audit we conduct is part of our commitment to keeping the public informed.
From examining local government spending and law enforcement practices to reviewing criminal investigations, public safety concerns, and the decisions made by elected officials, our goal remains the same.
We want answers backed by facts, not rumors.
We also believe that the public shouldn’t have to pay just to understand what’s happening in their own communities.
But maintaining an independent news website requires financial support. Website hosting, domain services, maintenance, and other operating expenses are necessary to keep our reporting available.
Without the resources to maintain our website, our ability to publish articles, document investigations, and preserve our ongoing audits becomes harder.
And that’s where you come in.
We Answer to the Facts, Not Financial Interests
JAW GA News operates independently.
Our readers deserve reporting that examines the evidence, raises reasonable questions, and gives those involved an opportunity to respond.
We don’t decide who is guilty. We don’t determine who is innocent. And we don’t believe accusations alone should be treated as proven facts.
Our responsibility is to examine what’s available, identify unanswered questions, and pursue the truth wherever the evidence leads.
Financial support from our readers helps us continue that mission without turning our reporting into something that can be bought or controlled.
A donation does not purchase favorable coverage, influence an investigation, or determine what we report.
Our responsibility remains with the people and the facts.
Help Us Keep the Website Online
We’re asking everyone who believes in independent journalism, government transparency, public safety, and accountability to consider making a voluntary donation.
Whether it’s $1, $5, $10, or whatever you can comfortably afford, every contribution can help us keep moving forward.
And if you can’t donate, we understand. Sharing our articles, following our investigations, and helping others discover JAW GA News are meaningful ways to support our work.
You should never feel pressured to give money you need for yourself or your family.
Our mission is to serve the community, not place another burden on it.

A Message From Our Founder
When I founded JAW GA News, I didn’t do it because I expected everyone to agree with me.
I did it because I believe people deserve answers.
I’ve seen how quickly questions can get brushed aside, how difficult it can be for ordinary citizens to get information, and how important it is for someone to keep asking questions when those answers don’t come.
That’s why this matters to me.
We’re not going to get everything right every single time. Nobody does. But when we make mistakes, we have a responsibility to correct them. When new evidence comes forward, we have a responsibility to examine it. And when government agencies or public officials make decisions that affect the people, we have every right to ask why.
That’s what journalism is supposed to be about.
I want JAW GA News to continue growing into a reliable source of information, not just for South Georgia, but for anyone who believes transparency and accountability still matter.
We may be a small independent news organization, but that doesn’t mean the questions we ask are any less important.
Your support, whether through a donation or simply sharing our work, helps make that possible.
Thank you to everyone who has followed our reporting, shared our articles, provided information, or supported our mission.
We’re building trust through credibility, not popularity.
And with your support, we’ll continue doing exactly that.
